The Gaffney Fire Department is a paid department with 39 Suppression Staff and 4 Administrative Staff (Chief, Administrative Assistant, Fire Marshal and Training Officer). The Gaffney Fire Department has also received an ISO Class 2 Rating. All firefighters are trained to the NFPA level of Firefigher II, Hazardous Materials Technician and Medical First Responder. We operate out of 4 fire stations. Headquarters is manned with a ladder company, rescue company and a battalion. Station 14 and 15 are both staffed with an engine company. Station 16 is staffed with an engine company and also responds our hazmat unit for any hazardous materials response.
