Fire safety requirements for food trucks focus on safe storage and use of propane systems, fire protection and exhaust of the cooking operation and the proper storage/venting of cooking oil, as well as cleaning and maintenance.
Effective January 2, 2020, SC State Law adopted the 2018 edition of the ICC Building and Fire Codes, which includes a new section pertaining to Mobile Food Preperation Vehicle (Food Trucks) Requirements. Please download the documents below for more information.
